Award-Winning Pepperoni Pizza Recipe

Finally, here's my recipe for an award-winning pizza that combines classic Italian flavors with a modern twist:

Pepperoni Pizza #pizzalover
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought see my recipe here)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce (homemade or high-quality store-bought see my recipe here)
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12-16 slices of high-quality pepperoni
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C). Place a baking stone or sheet pan in the oven to preheat for at least 30 minutes.

2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circle that is about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza peel or parchment paper.

3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the tomato sauce.

4. Arrange the slices of mozzarella cheese evenly over the Parmesan cheese. Place the pepperoni slices on top of the mozzarella cheese.

5. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the pizza, then sprinkle the chopped basil leaves, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper over the pizza.

6. Transfer the pizza to the preheated baking stone or sheet pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

This pizza is sure to impress with its bold flavors and perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings.

Enjoy!
